Communication can be difficult. Words―and the meanings behind them―can be miscontrued and misinterpreted. The complex realm of interpersonal socialization bases itself on mutual understanding, and a common language is the true lifeblood of intellectual reciprocity, eloquent articulation and flourishing understanding. This very reason is why this dictionary was created: to enable a deeper level of communication among players.
Without further ado: here's a thorough dictionary spanning some of the most common words and phrases used by corpses.
ok
1. Used as a general response to any direct questioning. Corpses tend to refrain from using complex words and they may even be unable to grasp the essence of the question itself.
2. Used as a term of agreement. If a player makes a statement corpse agrees with, he may respond with an assertive "ok".
3. Used as a term of disagreement. If a player poses an obviously irrational or otherwise flawed statement, corpse may respond "ok" as a sign of disagreeing with the statement. Irrational statements do not merit a legitimate answer, so this "ok" is posed sarcastically.
4. Used as a reaction to some surprising or shocking event. Most notably as a response to unorthodox kills or horrible failures.
5. Used as general chat fodder. Sometimes the chat just needs to be spiced up, so an occasional "ok" will keep the conversation lively.
g
1. The etymology of this term lies in the word "good". This is the primary use of this word and it can be used as a response/answer, a statement or as a praise.
2. Used to indicate the mood of corpse. Depending on the frequency of its use it can represent various states of mind.
3. Used as general chat fodder. Sometimes the chat just needs to be spiced up, so an occasional "g" will keep the conversation lively while not oversaturating it with "ok's".
4. Used as a command for fellow players to move. In this case, the etymology of "g" lies in the word "go". Rarely used.
Any other words are used too rarely to assign any meaning to them.
Happy socializing, fellow players!
